Coastal Development Guidelines

Under contract to the Japan Housing Organization and the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), GPC prepared a œCoastal Development Guidelines” booklet. This booklet is intended to help developers, government officials and public interests to understand the special site development opportunities and constraints within the coastal zone, inclusive of coastal land and near-shore marine environments. The booklet includes an extensive checklist of issues which can be used as a guide for initial site planning and design, as well as a tool for government officials in evaluating project proposals.
